Limit Mode
Limit Mode is a more casual version of No Limit Texas Hold ‘em.  It features a simplified betting system, the ability to join a game in progress, and the option to re-stake and continue playing when out of chips.  Limit Mode does not utilize the ratings feature.

No Limit Mode
No Limit Mode is a tournament-style Hold 'em poker game geared towards the more serious poker player.  In this mode, players stake once and play until only player remains.  Furthermore, betting is wide-open; the user can raise up to his entire stake at any time!  Four players are required to start a game, which gains intensity over time via increasing blinds.  Games can be rated and further regulated by a "rating required" option, which allows players to group by similar skill levels.

Jackpot & Tokens
There are two ways you can earn a Jackpot spin:
  • In Limit Mode, you must win 4 hands (spelling S P I N at the bottom of the screen).
  • In No Limit Mode, you win a Jackpot Spin by being the last player remaining.
The Jackpot Spinner spins like a slot machine. When it stops spinning, you'll win the prize indicated on the spinner or perhaps the JACKPOT itself! Members of Club Pogo are eligible for DOUBLE JACKPOTS!

Stakes & Tables
When you sit down at a table, you will contribute some of your token balance into your "Stake". This represents the amount of tokens you set aside for betting. All players who sit down at a table use the same stake. In this poker game, the nice thing about using a stake instead of your total token balance is that a player with a thousand tokens can play a player with a million tokens and it's still easy to tell who's ahead in the betting.

Practice First!
You're going to be winning and losing real tokens when you play any of the "Roller" rooms. Further, your entire stake is committed in No Limit Mode (that is, you don’t get your stake back unless you win the game; leaving early forfeits all your tokens!). We recommend you practice first by playing in one of the Just For Fun rooms until you're comfortable with the game and the betting process.

Going All-In (No Limit Mode Only):
There is one case where all betting will cease and the remaining community cards will be revealed without further betting.  This occurs when at least one player bets all his tokens, at least one other person calls, and there is no one left with tokens to bet. At this point, since no more bets can be made, the player’s cards are revealed as are the remaining community cards.  The winner is then decided in what is usually a dramatic Showdown.

Hand Rankings:
When hands are revealed, the player with the highest hand wins. Here is a list of the possible hands you could make in poker, listed from highest to lowest.

Straight Flush - Five cards in sequence that are all the same suit. A Royal Flush is a special type of Straight Flush that goes from 10 to Ace.

Four of a Kind - Four cards of the same rank.

Full House - A three of a kind and a pair in the same hand.

Flush - Any five cards of the same suit, but not in sequence.

Straight - A sequence of cards in any suit. Please note that for a Straight, an Ace can be high or low, but it cannot "wrap around". In other words, A-2-3-4-5 is a straight, and 10-J-Q-K-A is a straight, but Q-K-A-2-3 is not.

Three of a Kind - Three cards of the same rank

Two Pair - Two different pairs of cards

One Pair - One pair of cards of the same rank (e.g. Two fours)

High Card - The highest card in your hand.

No Limit Texas Hold'em • Re: Game will not play

No limit texas hold em - very slow and sometimes (quite often lately) disconnects in middle of game (lost connection to server), tough luck, you just lost your 5000 tokens whether you were winning or losing doesn't matter. Sick of this - have done all the things they tell you to do (cache, cookies, change browser, etc etc etc) nothing works. Shouldn't have to put up with this at all but especially if you are a paying customer. Please fix.

These all might be Flash issues.

Game will not load. Sometimes players join a room, if you finally get into one, pogo does not recognize player so no one can play.

Similar issue: when you join a table has one person in it and they are just sitting there - not letting anyone in - and you leave --- you can't join another table. Only way to make it work is to leave the lobby also then come back into the lobby and join a different table.

You're Welcome! :)

Usually if the non limited does not work
then the limited will. It is not the 1st
badge with that type of criteria.

Are you playing in the limit or non limit game rooms?

If it has been in the non limit game rooms only, switch
to the limit and see if you have better luck.
I switched like you suggested and it worked! tysm ;)

Looking at other badge albums to see what badges are active or even earned, dont't work anymore.
Is weird but if you own the same badge(s) is the status of your badges that you are seeing .
For you the the badge of the OP don't show as activated beccause you don't own the badge or yours is not active

For this badge you don't get to pick the game mode you want, you have to play "Limit Games"
(and "Just for fun" under Room type if you don't want to use your own tokens)

When you go to the game click Choose a Chat room,
On top left of the room list select the Game Option "Limit Games"
You can then pick a room, sit at a table and play for the badge
You don't have to play other people you can play against the bots (that are easy to beat by the way)

Each time you win a Hand, a letter of the word Spin ligths up, when you get all 4 you get a jackpot spin.

ETA I just activated the same badge and did as said above, won 4 hands, word Spin lit up and got one jps that counted towards my badge with no problem
