Limit Mode
Limit Mode is a more casual version of No Limit Texas Hold ‘em.  It features a simplified betting system, the ability to join a game in progress, and the option to re-stake and continue playing when out of chips.  Limit Mode does not utilize the ratings feature.

No Limit Mode
No Limit Mode is a tournament-style Hold 'em poker game geared towards the more serious poker player.  In this mode, players stake once and play until only player remains.  Furthermore, betting is wide-open; the user can raise up to his entire stake at any time!  Four players are required to start a game, which gains intensity over time via increasing blinds.  Games can be rated and further regulated by a "rating required" option, which allows players to group by similar skill levels.

Jackpot & Tokens
There are two ways you can earn a Jackpot spin:
  • In Limit Mode, you must win 4 hands (spelling S P I N at the bottom of the screen).
  • In No Limit Mode, you win a Jackpot Spin by being the last player remaining.
The Jackpot Spinner spins like a slot machine. When it stops spinning, you'll win the prize indicated on the spinner or perhaps the JACKPOT itself! Members of Club Pogo are eligible for DOUBLE JACKPOTS!

Stakes & Tables
When you sit down at a table, you will contribute some of your token balance into your "Stake". This represents the amount of tokens you set aside for betting. All players who sit down at a table use the same stake. In this poker game, the nice thing about using a stake instead of your total token balance is that a player with a thousand tokens can play a player with a million tokens and it's still easy to tell who's ahead in the betting.

Practice First!
You're going to be winning and losing real tokens when you play any of the "Roller" rooms. Further, your entire stake is committed in No Limit Mode (that is, you don’t get your stake back unless you win the game; leaving early forfeits all your tokens!). We recommend you practice first by playing in one of the Just For Fun rooms until you're comfortable with the game and the betting process.

Going All-In (No Limit Mode Only):
There is one case where all betting will cease and the remaining community cards will be revealed without further betting.  This occurs when at least one player bets all his tokens, at least one other person calls, and there is no one left with tokens to bet. At this point, since no more bets can be made, the player’s cards are revealed as are the remaining community cards.  The winner is then decided in what is usually a dramatic Showdown.

Hand Rankings:
When hands are revealed, the player with the highest hand wins. Here is a list of the possible hands you could make in poker, listed from highest to lowest.

Straight Flush - Five cards in sequence that are all the same suit. A Royal Flush is a special type of Straight Flush that goes from 10 to Ace.

Four of a Kind - Four cards of the same rank.

Full House - A three of a kind and a pair in the same hand.

Flush - Any five cards of the same suit, but not in sequence.

Straight - A sequence of cards in any suit. Please note that for a Straight, an Ace can be high or low, but it cannot "wrap around". In other words, A-2-3-4-5 is a straight, and 10-J-Q-K-A is a straight, but Q-K-A-2-3 is not.

Three of a Kind - Three cards of the same rank

Two Pair - Two different pairs of cards

One Pair - One pair of cards of the same rank (e.g. Two fours)

High Card - The highest card in your hand.

I am running the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS OS which can have issues with the Adobe Flash I know, but I haven't changed anything that would have caused this problem.

Pogo does not support the Ubuntu OS. Therefore, they will not be able to troubleshoot whatever issues you are having while using it.

I figured this would be the response I would get after posting my OS, but this doesn't answer my question or concern. I also asked.. "Was there a recent Flash requirment update for "No Limit Texas Hold'em" in the last couple of days?"
Could I possibly get an answer to that question? You may not know the answer to this, I understand, but maybe someone else would know. Knowing the answer to this can give me an idea of what the problem is (other than the obvious of what the error message tells me). This requires no troubleshooting what so ever and will possibly give me a clue to my problem.

I now understand Pogo will not be able to check the issue with Ubuntu, so I would just like to know if the game was recently updated or perhaps the "ad" was changed or updated... this information would help me see where the problem may be. Maybe I'm asking to much, but I just wanted to see if I could get any information on this. If you can not answer this, maybe someone else can, don't just blow me off and say that Pogo can't (or won't) help. Although it is good information to know that there isn't any support for my OS, it doesn't offer any kind of real help at all. I am still looking for an answer. If you can't help, at least I tried. I'm trying to figure out why the game stopped working all of the sudden after it had been working fine with no problems. Either way I know it's going to be my problem to deal with, at least I would know what caused it.

I posted this for two reasons, to report a problem AND to find some answers. All I've learned here is that there is no support for Ubuntu. Okay.. But what about a direct answer to my question(s)? If you do not know.. just say so. But if you could find out, I would really appreciate it.

Either way.. The game is still not working and is still giving the same error message out of the blue after working fine forever, just so you know. All I know is that I haven't changed anything to have caused this and after several tries I haven't been able to fix the problem.
Thank you.

We are correcting this issue and it should reflect on your My Account page shortly. You should be billed during the correct billing cycle related to your individual account.

No Limit Texas Hold'em • Re: [RESOLVED] Purchased items showing as unpurchased

By Pogo_Cactuar » April 22nd, 2014, 10:55 pm

Both of these issues should now be resolved and you should be able to play previously purchased episodes in our Hidden Object Games as well as purchase more.

For those players questioning about the sale in Amazing Adventures today (4/22) the sale is currently on until 4/22 11:59pm PDT, so you should still be able to participate.

No Limit Texas Hold'em • [RESOLVED] Purchased items showing as unpurchased

By Pogo_Cactuar » April 22nd, 2014, 7:50 pm

Our team is aware of some users seeing purchased items showing as being un-purchased in some areas, such as our Hidden Object Games. As well as when you attempt to purchase something for Gems, you may be receiving a message that states you do not have Gems when you really do. The team is currently investigating this issue and is working on a solution for it.

We recommend for the time being that you do not attempt to purchase the item for a second time.

Our team is working to have the issue resolved soon.

By Pogo_Cactuar » April 11th, 2014, 3:26 pm

As you may be aware, a website vulnerability named the Heartbleed Bug has been all over the news as of Monday, April 7th, 2014.

As soon as we became aware of Heartbleed, we began actively identifying and patching any vulnerable systems to ensure Pogo.com is secure. We have no reason to believe any passwords or personal information were stolen, but suggest erring on the side of caution and updating your Pogo password.
