Gameplay (Caramel)
The object of Sweet Tooth is to swap adjacent sweets, creating matching rows/columns of three or more. Click on any two adjacent sweets to swap them, and when you've created an adjacent group of 3 or more of the same type, the sweets will disappear and new set of sweets will fall from above. Unlike the original game, in this mode you can swap candy diagonally as well as horizontally and vertically.
Power ups – There are five power ups in this puzzle game to help you clear candy and caramel spaces. You can activate a power up by “double clicking” on it.

Remove all pieces in horizontal row.

Remove all pieces in vertical column.

Remove all the pieces in 3 x 3 block.

Remove all candy of one color.

Remove random selection of candy.

Wild Candy - If you remove a group of five candy, you'll create a "Wild" candy somewhere in the puzzle. The Wild Candy can be matched with any two like candy (or another wild).

Locked Pieces - On higher levels of difficulty, you may find candy pieces that have been "locked" with extra layer of frosting. You can not move a locked piece to swap it with another piece. You must make a match of three similar pieces to remove the "lock" layer (but leaves behind the original piece).

Chocolate Coins – Also found on higher levels of difficulty, the very rare “Chocolate Coins” will score you a big token bonus if you can match three of them together.

Gameplay (Classic)
When you play "Sweet Tooth2" in Classic mode, the rules of the game change slightly to provide an experience similar (although not identical) to the original game. All of the features (like power ups and Wild Candy) have been removed and the puzzle grid is always 8 x 8. Candy pieces can only be moved horizontally or vertically (not diagonally, as in the Caramel mode).

In this mode, the object of the puzzle game is to fill the health bar at the bottom of the puzzle. Each time you make a match, color will be added to the bar. You’ll have to work quickly because the health bar shrinks as time passes. If you can completely fill the bar, you’ll win the round. Win three rounds in a row to earn a jackpot spin.

If you run out of moves and still have time left in the Health Meter, the board will clear and you'll get a new set of sweets to work with.

Here are some additional pointers designed to help you become a more advanced Sweet Tooth 2 player.

Caramel Mode:
  • It's important to remember that you can move candies diagonally (in addition to the classic horizontal and vertical) to make matches.
  • Each level has three different layouts. Try them all and find the set that work best for you.
  • If you can't see a match to make, click the hint button to a pair of candies you can swap.
  • The hint button will refill over a period of time, depending on the level of difficulty you've set your puzzle game at.

Classic Mode:
  • Get extra points for "chain reactions" and groups of more than 3 sweets.
  • If you aren't able to find a match, after a period of time a hint will appear automatically.
  • On higher levels of difficulty, the health bar will drain rapidly.

Leveling
  • In Caramel mode, there are five levels of difficulty. In Classic mode, there are just three levels of difficulty. In general, the level of difficulty determines the pace of gameplay, but in Caramel mode there are a number of features only available on the higher levels of difficulty.
  • In both modes, level 1 is a no-pressure configuration that showcases the basic game mechanics in an easy-win scenario. This is a good place to practice and develop your candy clicking skills.
  • Levels 2 and 3 are more challenging. The Health Meter decreases more quickly, and in caramel mode the puzzle grid shapes are more complex.
  • Levels 4 and 5 are only available in Caramel mode. Locked Pieces and Chocolate Coins only appear on these levels and the Health Meter decreases very rapidly

Scoring
  • In this fun puzzle game, you'll score 5 points for each candy you remove in a match. You'll score extra points if you can remove more than three candies at once. You'll also earn 5 points for each caramel space you clear.
  • If you create a combo cascade, you'll earn a multiplier bonus for each subsequent removal in the chain reaction.
  • On levels 4 and 5, you can earn a large bonus if you can remove a group of three or more chocolate coins. You'll Score 50 points for each Chocolate coin you remove.
  • Tokens are awarded at the end of the game, based on the number of points you scored. You'll earn 1 token for every 10 points you scored. You'll also receive bonus tokens for the longest.

Click on the NEWS tab at the top of the page.
Scroll down on the right hand side of the next page and you will see "Earn Free Gems."
Click "Get Gems."

Do know that you will not qualify for every survey but just keep trying until you find some where you do qualify.

Sweet Tooth • Re: Frustration

By Pokeygirl » July 25th, 2017, 4:07 am

I know nothing can be dine as far as not having been able to finish the marathon. I also know many likely were able to finish. I thought the choice of game and requirements to win were too hard for a one week challenge. Also, I got no notice - which I usually get in an e mail - and found out about this one day into the challenge.
I a not well-versed in playing a lot of games, and many of these were much to difficult to play. It just seems to me this challenge was very "one-sided" and geared toward players who could get the required 'goals" for each game. I played until the very end and was halfway or better to my last badge (Sweet Tooth). I'm sorry, but I found 90 - 5 matches in Sweet Tooth 2 extremely hard - and played it all week to no avail .
Accolades to the many who were able to play all these games and make it to the badge; but I am very disappointed in this marathon challenge. Not to be a poor sport, because I truly enjoy Pogo and a lot of the games; but this has left me thinking the marathon badges are not for me and wanting not to try any more of these when they come along. There are so many games, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't play many of these games.
My other problem with some of these is that we end up 'forced' to play and use gems or whatever to "buy" more power ups and the like or to have enough 'cash' or time to play on. Not playing some of these games regularly doesn't allow for the required items to continue playing - especially in a marathon challenge. therefore, I feel the game choices were somewhat one-sided. I gave them my fair shot and had all but the Sweet Tooth one; not for not trying.
Thanks for letting me vent. :|

I have completed all the badges for the Marathon except Sweet Tooth. I am not going to be able to finish this one. My eyes just won't let me. :( I have only 5/90 completed. I surrender.

You won the Sweet Tooth badge but you did not complete the Marathon Challenge.

The badges you did not complete are :
Badge # 3: Tri Peaks Solitaire
Badge # 10: Mahjong Escape

You did complete badges for Mahjong Escape and Tri Peaks Solitaire but those badges are the Member Appreciation badges and they are not part of the Marathon Badge Challenge.

I enjoy marathons (usually), but this Sweet Tooth one isn't going to work. It's Sunday evening, and I've played with my available time, still with only a few out of the 90 needed. I surrender, too! Would have been nice to win the marathon badge, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it. :)

Tokens have no monetary value which means they cannot be exchanged for gems nor can they be used to enter drawings.

Tokens are markers of in-game achievement.

You can use them at the Mini Mall to buy items for yourself and to gift items to your friends if you choose to do so.

They also come in handy when playing the Poker games and some Slots games.

Using tokens in a drawing is called Gambling. And, when the US Gambling Laws changed many years ago, Pogo has to do away with using Tokens for Drawings.
As for buying Gems with Tokens, not ever gonna happen. Pogo has made that clear many times in the defunct Letters to the Editor and the Blogs.

I DON'T GET A REAL THRILL FROM BADGES...SAME WITH THE POINTS...I HAVE OVER 12 MILLION TOKENS OR POINTS....IT WOULD BE NICE TO BE ABLE TO BUY GEMS WITH THOSE...OR USE THEM IN A DRAWING ....???

I use a similar strategy:
I start the game and look for any possible 5 matches. If I don't see one that looks like it will be easy to do, I click all the Power Ups. (if there are any).
I then hit new game and do it again. Sometimes I went as many as 5 new games before I got a 5 match. And, some times I got as many as 4 or 5 5 matches in one game. I think I finished the Badge in about 6 hours total time. (I'd move on to another badge after winning 10 matches to not stress out so much.)

Sorry you are struggling, the badge took me 2 days to do. the only real suggestion I can give you is to hit new game until you can see a 5 match easily made. You also don't have to win the game to get credit so unless you care about stats/rank just keep hitting new game. I played on level 3 and some games managed 3/4 a round, but I also went 20 rounds before seeing one so the new game button was well used.
