Gameplay (Caramel)
The object of Sweet Tooth is to swap adjacent sweets, creating matching rows/columns of three or more. Click on any two adjacent sweets to swap them, and when you've created an adjacent group of 3 or more of the same type, the sweets will disappear and new set of sweets will fall from above. Unlike the original game, in this mode you can swap candy diagonally as well as horizontally and vertically.
Power ups – There are five power ups in this puzzle game to help you clear candy and caramel spaces. You can activate a power up by “double clicking” on it.

Remove all pieces in horizontal row.

Remove all pieces in vertical column.

Remove all the pieces in 3 x 3 block.

Remove all candy of one color.

Remove random selection of candy.

Wild Candy - If you remove a group of five candy, you'll create a "Wild" candy somewhere in the puzzle. The Wild Candy can be matched with any two like candy (or another wild).

Locked Pieces - On higher levels of difficulty, you may find candy pieces that have been "locked" with extra layer of frosting. You can not move a locked piece to swap it with another piece. You must make a match of three similar pieces to remove the "lock" layer (but leaves behind the original piece).

Chocolate Coins – Also found on higher levels of difficulty, the very rare “Chocolate Coins” will score you a big token bonus if you can match three of them together.

Gameplay (Classic)
When you play "Sweet Tooth2" in Classic mode, the rules of the game change slightly to provide an experience similar (although not identical) to the original game. All of the features (like power ups and Wild Candy) have been removed and the puzzle grid is always 8 x 8. Candy pieces can only be moved horizontally or vertically (not diagonally, as in the Caramel mode).

In this mode, the object of the puzzle game is to fill the health bar at the bottom of the puzzle. Each time you make a match, color will be added to the bar. You’ll have to work quickly because the health bar shrinks as time passes. If you can completely fill the bar, you’ll win the round. Win three rounds in a row to earn a jackpot spin.

If you run out of moves and still have time left in the Health Meter, the board will clear and you'll get a new set of sweets to work with.

Here are some additional pointers designed to help you become a more advanced Sweet Tooth 2 player.

Caramel Mode:
  • It's important to remember that you can move candies diagonally (in addition to the classic horizontal and vertical) to make matches.
  • Each level has three different layouts. Try them all and find the set that work best for you.
  • If you can't see a match to make, click the hint button to a pair of candies you can swap.
  • The hint button will refill over a period of time, depending on the level of difficulty you've set your puzzle game at.

Classic Mode:
  • Get extra points for "chain reactions" and groups of more than 3 sweets.
  • If you aren't able to find a match, after a period of time a hint will appear automatically.
  • On higher levels of difficulty, the health bar will drain rapidly.

Leveling
  • In Caramel mode, there are five levels of difficulty. In Classic mode, there are just three levels of difficulty. In general, the level of difficulty determines the pace of gameplay, but in Caramel mode there are a number of features only available on the higher levels of difficulty.
  • In both modes, level 1 is a no-pressure configuration that showcases the basic game mechanics in an easy-win scenario. This is a good place to practice and develop your candy clicking skills.
  • Levels 2 and 3 are more challenging. The Health Meter decreases more quickly, and in caramel mode the puzzle grid shapes are more complex.
  • Levels 4 and 5 are only available in Caramel mode. Locked Pieces and Chocolate Coins only appear on these levels and the Health Meter decreases very rapidly

Scoring
  • In this fun puzzle game, you'll score 5 points for each candy you remove in a match. You'll score extra points if you can remove more than three candies at once. You'll also earn 5 points for each caramel space you clear.
  • If you create a combo cascade, you'll earn a multiplier bonus for each subsequent removal in the chain reaction.
  • On levels 4 and 5, you can earn a large bonus if you can remove a group of three or more chocolate coins. You'll Score 50 points for each Chocolate coin you remove.
  • Tokens are awarded at the end of the game, based on the number of points you scored. You'll earn 1 token for every 10 points you scored. You'll also receive bonus tokens for the longest.

Sweet Tooth • Locking up when a 5 candy match is made

By Plantlady450 » May 4th, 2015, 1:13 pm

I am trying to get a badge and it is when you match 5 candies -- but every time I make a 5 candy match it locks up. I am never going to get this badge. Is anyone else having this problem? I have tried changing levels and it does it on every level.

I'm going to wager a guess that the badge will be used for either a Super Edition badge or another Site-Wide Challenge. But those are just my humble guesses -- wish I knew for sure!

I liked all of the badges, but personally I thought the bathtub full of tiles just sounded... painful! :o

I would have had 30 if it did count 5 of my 5 candies. What a upset when you work so hard to do the Pogo Challenges. I think they should make sure the games are working okay.

I just got 3 more 5 in a row and it does come up on the bottom of the game. They shoud give us our tokens for winning. I think I am giving up trying this game for now. I hope Pogo does read about our problems with their game challenges that are impossible to win when you don't get credit winning.

you don't want to hear it, but there is NOTHING wrong with the challenge. Sorry.

Weekly Badge: 100 Percent Cacao

Requirement: Collect 7 Chocolate Coins this week! (Chocolate Coins appear on Levels 4 & 5 of Caramel Rooms)

Two ways of doing it: matching three or more chocolate coins for a match (note that if you match a wild with 2 chocolate coins, you'll get a match but only get 2 coins toward the requirement)...

The easier way: Use a power-up to erase a chocolate coin (example: any arrow power-up erases all candies in a row or section including coins). You will receive credit toward your requirement.

Overall...this badge should take you less than 10 minutes to accomplish. Good luck ;)

Thank you for your suggestions. Tried them. Nothing changed. I think the candies actually are smaller and the colors are brighter due to the background of the playing field being darker. I could probably adjust the contrast on my screen but I don't want to have to do that just for this one game. Probably just finish the badges for this game that I'm working on and add it to the list of games I no longer play. Maybe this game will be changed again someday.

Reason for some of the smaller and basic designs are due to the new 'FULL SCREEN' option. Click it in the upper right corner of the screen to get a much bigger and brighter perspective of the game ;)

The gold coins are now dull and not worth working for! No longer gold, downgraded to dull brass.

Technically they are chocolate coins and perhaps they changed the wrapping since gold costs more than foil

I think Pogo is giving us the badge to show their appreciation for their members. I'm always happy to enjoy a free badge in whatever game it is given.

I would imagine that the badge will be given for whichever game is represented by the artwork that wins the vote.

I am guessing that Option 1- Man running up pyramid steps might possibly be for Phlink because the game screen for Phlink has pyramids.

I am guessing that Option 2- Man surfing on an ocean of tiles might be representative of Ride The Tide because the game has this as a feature.

I don't have a clear guess for Option 3 – Man relaxing in a bathtub of tiles but I am thinking perhaps it may be Mahjong Garden (or really any of the Mahjong Games) because to me the man in the tub reminds me of a Zen Warrior enjoying a ritual bath.

Hopefully it will be out tomorrow and the mystery will be solved.

1. You MUST create a five-of-a-kind to produce a wild in a horizontal or vertical line ONLY. Removing five or more candies any other way does not count.

2. A chain reaction creating a five-of-a-kind also does NOT count toward creating a wild.

3. Once the wild appears, you MUST use it in a match. Only then will you receive credit toward getting it.

4. You can use a wild to create another wild. You can also have more than one on the screen at once (I've had 5 on the screen at once) but remember to use them before all the caramel is gone!

5. Finally...GOOD LUCK!!!

It would be nice to know the reason for the badge. I don't know which one to vote for without knowing why Pogo is giving it to us.

Sweet Tooth • Re: wild card credit

By CAGal1950 » May 3rd, 2015, 5:12 am

Did you make those additional wilds? Match 5? or did they get created in a cascade? Did you use the wilds before the game ended?
You need to not only make them, but use them.

Sweet Tooth • wild card credit

Why do I only get credit for 1 wild card in a game when I get two or more wilds??
